Pinewood Pennants Quilt

This quilt in greens and browns evokes memories of hearth and home through use of specific fabrics namely fir trees, pine cones and pine needles. A variety of leaves and grasses are also included. The colours harmonise well together, but have enough light-dark contrast to show off the sharp points of the triangles. The blocks are 6 x 6 ins / 15 x15 cms and are arranged by alternating “horizontal” and “vertical” blocks. The quilt is finished with a ¼ in / 0.5cm binding in black.
